That was a Monday morning; I got ready for the office and had my breakfast too. I was a bit late so I was in a hurry. I just ran towards my room to get one of my case files which I was about to discuss in the meeting but wait, I didn’t find it on my table.

I was already late and got panicked too. I checked it all around my room and my office corner but all of no use. I asked everyone at the home about that file but nobody knows about it. I messed up all the office supplies for a while.

All of a sudden, a flashback clicked into my mind and yes I remember I sent that file to my car, I remember one of my servants took that file to my car. I decided to well organize all of my office supplies at home.

Let me share some tips and hacks I used for organizing my home office corner.

When you will properly make things, it will prevent you buy the same things again and again. You will be more efficient if you will spare different spaces for various tasks.

How to Organize Office Supplies at Home?

It might be a hard task for you but it will give you lots of ease in return. My office is full of shelving units and storage on one long wall. This is where I keep all of my crafts stuff, stationery items, computer, and gadgets, scrapbooks, and tagging, my music collection, my free weights, etc. Let me share some of the ideas to organize your office supplies

  1. Your workspace should have a set of drawer file cabinets, a big oak desk, a book rack, and a printer stand with large storage beneath. Each drawer is dedicated to specific categories of items.
  2. The bottom of the file drawer is well-settled with folder labels, address labels, photo papers, and other special papers. Use the top of the drawer for important files that you may need in a hurry sometimes. The printer’s storage can be used for organizing printing material.
  3. Use a large-sized bulletin magnetic board. where you can put important notes.
  4. I have another separate room for my sprout office stuff. It is all filled with inventory, books, and other packaging materials. The main office has a giant sideboard. I used to keep all of my wrapping stuff, chargers, CDs, Stamps, and envelopes there in a drawer.
  5. On one side I still have some free space; I have ordered a round counter for that corner. In short, I am still working to organize so many things left. I have organized every single item with care as it provides me ease when I need something in a rushed situation.
  6. Nothing in my area is garbage or a random useless thing. As for the things that I don’t use much I have stored them in separate trunks. Whenever I see a new trend in cabins or curtains or anything like that. I update my workspace accordingly because I have to stay here for more of my time.

So, a well-organized cleaned, and updated office helps me to stay and work for longer hours.

How to Organize Hanging Files and Folders?

Now, I am going to show you guys how I keep my hanging files organized.

I have a huge hanging folder which is having manila folders (like some big subcategories folders) I used to keep all the stuff according to their categories. In this way, I have organized a lot of stuff in my hanging folders. I don’t accept any irrelevant stuff inside these pocket folders.

When organizing hanging files and folders use labels instead of reminding them what’s in that color folder. I have made color sequences too but I didn’t leave them without labels. Like I have all the finance stuff in the green folder but I have also named this folder “My finance stuff”.

BENEFITS:

If you also do the same by making manila folders inside the hanging file folders it will benefit you in two ways. One is that it helps you pull out your required folders and then thumb through your stuff. Secondly, it will give a neat impression.

I used Manila folders inside the hanging files and folders. They act as subfolders. I just pull it out to sort through instead of getting into a hung one.
